Keya Hamilton

Biography

Actor, writer and director Keya Hamilton grew up in a home where music and creative expression were at its center. She is best known for her role in the Hallmark movie Christmas in Harmony. Keya began her adult acting career in theater, touring the US, performing in stage plays and transitioning into film in 2012. After working for and being inspired by Kelly Fremon Craig and James L. Brooks on the feature film, Are You There God, It's Me Margaret, she decided to take the plunge into directing. In 2023, she made her directorial debut with the documentary short Creating Sentenced to Pray and the romantic comedy It Had to Be You. She is looking forward to the completion of her film The Conversation. Keya is the creator and owner of Key Casting and Productions, the provider of casting, consulting, screenwriting, producing and directing services. She is also on the Board of Directors for the non-profit organization, Que The Music Performing Arts Academy.
