Bobby Clack
Biography
Robert L Clack starred in the early B-Western Movies and TV westerns under the name Bobby Clark. His interest in roping began after attending the Oklahoma-Arkansas rodeo in Ft. Smith. He first performed in 1932 at the age of 6 in Springfield, MO. On July 4, 1938, he was discovered by a Monogram talent scout at a Junior Chamber of Commerce rodeo in Sulphur, OK. With his horse, Chief, Bobby Clark appeared that year at Madison Square Garden where he captured the World Champion Trick Roping title. He had a knack for roping as well as shooting with a .22 rifle and .38 special six-shooter. Among his feats was the spinning of four loops simultaneously, employing his mouth, arms and hips. That same year he co-starred in his first acting role with Jack Randall in "Trigger Smith".
